I like how you portrayed Min La's human nature of prolonging life by any means for a few moments more. He's willing to sacrifice himself for duty, perhaps even thinking it justified being the only survivor of his house that he should have already perished. Still, it would have left So Ga to be next under the knife as there would be no reason at all for the Tolo Dol to spare him, so he stepped into the lion's den. Hoping against hope he could convince them to help for leverage later. Last straw perhaps but the best choice. He is more and more adapting to his Brother in Law's path of wit over the unsustainable brute force of his Brother's path. Love it.

the chapter snippet just showing "To help with the large cast of characters..." without the "I have put together a spoiler-free Dramatis Personae" made me very concerned that this chapter was going to be a BLOODBATH.

Wow! So diligent during the Holidays! I fully expected to have to wait until the new year for the next installment. Thank you! I hope your Holidays have been full and the New Year ring true!

These chapters are literally having me at the edge of my seat (as cliche as that sounds) and I may have cringed a bit at min La's responses but I hope it really is to their benefit

I really enjoyed the nod/reminder of the other worldly actors upon this stage and their interest in our two heroes. The rescue was better than expected, and I like that So Ga did not pickup on what Min La was up to. Unlike Merry and Pippin, So Ga has never had the experience of being sly or having to fast-talk his way out of situations, so it makes total sense that he keeps making these gaffs. I just thought how interesting a story would be where Arwen would be on some adventurous mission with Pippin in which they depended on each other for survival. :)

"Delicate, risky, and brilliant"? Time will tell!
