I get asked fairly often what books I would recommend. And since I can’t seem to be bothered to keep my goodreads up to date (that circa 1995 website certainly isn’t helping) I’ve decided to provide a list.
I will be constantly adding to this list until I shuffle off this mortal coil. And probably even after.
Click through for the list:
*this is a link to my Bookshop storefront. If you’d like to throw me a coin or two of support — while thumbing your nose at Amazon — feel free to purchase there. Otherwise, acquire the books however you’d prefer!
Once you click through, you’ll find a masterlist and a few smaller lists divided loosely into categories. Maybe you’ll find something new. In any event, have fun browsing!
I am always working on lists of my all-time favorite books, together with a brief description for each. I will be posting links here*
My Personal Favorite Books, Part I
*This is a living list. I will publish addendums whenever I remember the ones I’ve definitely forgotten.
*of course, I will also be constantly adding to that
If there is any interest in book, movie, or television reviews, I am considering doing that here on this site as well. If you wouldn’t mind sharing your thoughts on whether or not that’s something you’d be interested in, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Hi Hilary! I m always excited for anything you say regarding storytelling and writing in general. As for future reviews, that would be very awesome!
If you'd like, here's a small list of stories that I'd like you to review- I love discussing and sharing great stories with others.
Movies:
-Knives Out!
-TRAP by M. Night Shyamalan
Anime:
-Moriarty The Patriot (mystery, historical, crime)
- The Promised Neverland
- Fruits Basket ( the 2019 adaptation)
Books:
-Before The Coffee gets cold
- Defy The Night by Brigid Kemmerer
- The seven deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle
And the list goes on forever, but I believe that these are a solid start.
Anyway, thank you for building this beautiful community of writers. Can't wait to learn from your great insights!
Yours Truly,
Lujyn from Egypt 🤍🌌
Always interested in what you have to say about anything creative thanks Hilary.
